Occupational Performance Committees

Occupational Performance Committees (OPC) are teams of volunteers drawn from our membership to develop specific work products or solutions that have value to the practice of forensic science.

OPCs also provide a valuable point of synergy where forensic science laboratory professionals work directly with business leaders and other private innovators to identify worthy areas of investment and strategies for developing and bringing to market cutting edge technologies, methods, and policies.

The following are examples of work products produced by OPCs:

  • Administrative policies and procedures
  • Technical procedures or methods
  • Position statements and professional recommendations
  • Professional guidelines and literature
